So, the other night I was getting dressed after the shower and I managed to put my pants on backwards. In that moment my heart sank, I could feel the tears welling in my eyes…I put my pants on backwards!

Sounds like something superbly silly to cry about, but it was the last straw for that day. It had been one of those days where the pile of mistakes seem to mount above my head, creating a pile of crap! In that moment (with my pants on backwards) my day was done, all I could do was pick myself up, and be ready for tomorrow.

Sometimes people think that as yogis we never have bad days, like we have transcended the everyday hiccups that have the tendency to mount into those piles of crap. But that’s not true, everyone has bad days. I would love to be able to sit here and tell you the sure cure for never having another bad day, but I can’t.

Bad days come, but the great thing is that they also go. Although we all are going to have bad days once in a while, we can learn to turn our face to the light of tomorrow, always knowing that “this too shall pass.” Bad days are temporary, but learning to look to the positive, even in those bad moments, is lasting. So next time you have a bad day, and put your pants on backwards), take a moment and turn your shining spirit to the light of tomorrow….this too shall pass (even bad days blues!).

MUCH Love,
Jo Beth
